Catholic Cross-Cultural Services (CCS) is committed to serving immigrants and refugees who are new to Canada. The challenge of settling into a new country can be overwhelming; our team of diverse and highly skilled counsellors work together to make the resettlement experience a safe and informed one.

The support we offer through our Settlement Counselling Service provides immigrants and refugees with a place to find accurate information about settling in Canada. Our counsellors provide intake and assessment services to identify the needs of individual clients and make appropriate referrals based on such needs. In addition, our counsellors can continue offering supportive counselling at CCS centres.

The services offered include support with immigration documentation, access to education, childcare, health care, child tax benefits, social assistance, housing, individual and family counselling and help in obtaining social insurance numbers. CCS offers their services in a wide variety of languages, and are affiliated with interpreter services to meet the client’s needs. We provide certification of Immigration and education related documents, and preparation and confirmation of affidavits. In addition, a project to assist homeless and under housed immigrants and refugees on settlement needs is offered at various off-site locations in Metro Region.

CCS counsellors and supportive staff are sensitive to the diversity present in our community. CCS is proud to offer friendly, patient and non-judgemental service to new immigrants and refugees.
